Have been busy sewing and need to clear up so will keep it fairly brief tonight. Last night the sky was spectacular, so many pics but just a few here.

While I was on the computer, and after he had been on my lap for a bit, Colonel settled down on my foot stool.

This morning I went to the doctors, she thinks it is an inflamed Achilles tendon, had done a referral for physio at the hospital and has prescribed me stronger pain killers. I have only had one as they are two a day, and at the moment it is hard to tell if there is much improvement. Darren took me to town to get the prescription made up and so that I could get some material to back the quilt. I took my time walking home and have spent most of the afternoon on the quilt. I spent over two solid hours continuous stitching to actually do the quilting. I am pleased with the effect.
Have made and attached the edging now and will hopefully get it sewn down by hand this evening.

  1. Spectacular doesn't really describe those skies, they're absolutely cracking!
I hope the pills eventually do the intended job. If they kick in tomorrow you'll be running to town. I know, probably a bit optimistic :-)
The quilt is really gorgeous. I love the way you've just followed the centre of the strips for the quilting. Simple, but very effective. Simple in design I mean, not construction!

    1. I am so pleased with this 'make it up as I go along' quilt. Can't wait to send Sandra a picture of the finished article. Fingers crossed that there is some improvement on the pain front tomorrow!
