A very subtle coloured sky yesterday evening.
This morning my ankle seemed a little easier, so fingers crossed the worst is over. Darren and I went off to the boot sale quite early, I walked around for a while and then went back to the car because I didn't want to overdo it. I got three great books, two about recognising trees, something I have long been ashamed of my lack of knowledge in that area! The other about spiders of the world!
This afternoon, on and off, I have been carrying on assembling the tiny squares to make the spider quilt. That part is now done, I have to decide on how I will actually 'quilt' it and what edging to have so that it can be hanging on the wall before too long!
I decided to go out this evening a see if I could manage to walk round the park with a little less discomfort. The park was just beautiful on this glorious evening.
Enjoying a lovely program celebrating David Attenborough at 90.
That sky is very subtle compared to your usual captures. Still nice though.
ReplyDeleteNice you managed to get out and about a bit today, and bargains too, can't be bad. The spider book should give you lots of ideas of things to make. Bet there are some great ones to paint on ceramics. The hanging looks really good. Where's it going to go?
The park looks nice as usual. They really do spend a lot of time looking after the place, and it shows. I don't think I've ever seen another park where the lawn edgings are kept so neat and tidy all year round. It makes a hell of a difference.
I think Scarborough council does a great job in the park, and in flower beds etc round the town too. Not sure where the hanging will go when finished, but I will find a space for it somewhere!
