Sunset pics again, this time I did catch the seagull on purpose!

This morning Sandy picked me up as I was covering the studio while she ran some errands and was then helping her with a party. I had two people in collecting items and two people come  in to paint with their children while she was out. We had 14 children and 8 adults at the party, so pretty noisy and lively. I helped clear up after so that she was ready when some more customers arrived. I did manage to paint a plant pot holder when I had the customers settled.

I walked back via the cliff top, much brighter than yesterday but a very cold wind still. The sea was beautiful, very foamy today.

I have more or less decided on my square for the Queen's birthday quilt. This is only a rough idea, needs some tidying up, and then I will embroider it.
Watching Eurovision now!

  1. The skies are all very good, and the seagull looks great in the shot. Very well captured! Sounds like a busy morning you had. They're very lucky to have someone who is willing to drop in and help when needed like that. At least you got to do a bit of painting. The pot holder looks very nice. What size is it, it's hard to get an idea from the pics?
I think the square will turn out well. I like the design, but bet it will be fun to sew! Good job you have patience :-)

  2. It is about 6 or seven inches across, room for a decent sized flower pot to stand in it. Will do another one as 'payment' for today. I think the design will be pretty difficult but I will try my best to get it done in an acceptable condition!
