Today Darren, Mike and I went for breakfast then a bit later Mike and I took a trip to Deans garden centre. We did call in at The Mere on the way but still no baby ducks and geese! Mike likes the savoury scone with blue cheese and pickle that they serve at Deans, so that was on the agenda. They had some started bonsai plants, which I have never seen before, very reasonable price, I got a Japanese larch and a crab apple.
No other pictures today, my ankle has been really sore so we sat and watched The Imitation Game film this afternoon. Mike is on his way home now, I am hoping that he has a good journey and has missed the worst of the bank holiday traffic.

  1. A very nice day, and a very nice weekend. Thanks to all of you for putting up with me. There are always lots of nice things to eat when I come up there, which I thoroughly enjoy. I'll get back to my lettuces leaves in a few days :-)
The traffic was fine, and I've been home and settled for a while. Think I might sleep well tonight after all the sea air.

  2. I am glad your journey was good, you never can tell with bank holidays. Good that you got to see a bit of the race, I am sure it will be a regular thing now as it seems to be a success.
