We have a small apple tree, more of a stick, which is a Hornsea fruit. Tina wanted to know if it was flowering as we’ve had it for a couple of years now. I went down to the greenhouse and checked while I was there, very pretty flowers about to open.
The acer tree is looking lovely.
And the honesty is pretty.
As it is Darren and Tina’s wedding anniversary tomorrow we went to Eastfield Garden Centre and had a nice meal. Igot a pink lily of the valley root and some bonsai feed. I have never fed the trees regularly so this may kill them off. They have had a dose today.
I did some potting on in the greenhouse this afternoon. The sweet peas needed moving so have planted them all in a tub that will stay in the greenhouse for now, also planted the lily of the valley root in a pot as haven’t had much success growing it in this garden.
I also potted on the two courgettes that grew and the four nasturtiums.
The sunflowers are getting tall, the roots are out of the bottom of the pots so it may be a problem getting them out!
My leg has ached a bit today, but it did have a bit of a spasm in the night, but have been walking around okay so I think all is well.
Quiet evening then up to the pottery in the morning.
Two nice gifts for you from D&T. He does find some good boot bargains for you. The glass looks really nice too. They both get you some good gifts. A garden centre lunch is always good too 🙂
ReplyDeleteThe greenhouse is looking well used at the minute. I just hope the squirrels don’t decide to break in again and create havoc!
I know the leg is still giving you problems, but it does seem to be coming along now. Hopefully it’ll keep improving as time goes on 🤞
It has been good using the greenhouse for its intended purpose rather than as a bird food store. The squirrels don’t bother now as there isn bird food stored in there now,
ReplyDeleteIf only I knew someone who could make a frame for the tile!
When (if) I ever play in the workshop again I'll make you one 🙂
