Collecting pottery and painting some

I went out early to post a couple of letters, it was raining, that nasty mizzle and it has been on and off all day with a cold wind. A bit before ten Angela came round and we went over to Bemora and had breakfast. Darren is off and Tina had a busy day so Darren drove me up to Freeport to take my pottery paints back and collect a new box with more colours. That means ai will be able to go up to paint on Thursday on the bus to save Caroline having to come and collect me, as I won’t be able to carry paints as well as still using a crutch. We went into the cafe and Darren had some lunch and I had a drink at the cafe before returning home.
When I went down to check the plants in the greenhouse I took this picture of the garden. The small acer tree looks lovely when it gets it first colourful leaves.
When we collected the paints the fruit bowl I had painted had been fired, the colouring is subtle but I am very happy with it.
This evening I have started painting the bowl I bought back last week.
Using one crutch when I am out and about now, so the progress is slow but going in the right direction.

  1. The weather has been much the same here. I even got wet on my morning constitutional.
Sounds like your day was good. Breakfast, lifts, and new paints, can’t be bad 🙂 Good of Darren to run you there. A lot easier than struggling with them. The bowl looks great. The new bowl won’t be a quick job!
Really pleased to hear that things are gradually getting better for you.

  2. Yes, quite a good day despite the weather and great to have the new paints, a better selection.
Yes, trying to keep positive about the knee, I think all is going well.
