This morning Angela came to pick me up and take me to her house as she is looking after two dogs this week. We had a cuppa and quick chat in the house and then walked to the cliff top with the dogs. A very short walk as she lives not much more than a stones throwaway from a grassy area with a very handy bench. George the chihuahua sat on my lap for a while and Holly was chasing around after her ball. Angela has one of those sticks that enable you to throw the balls with very little effort, we did change over, she had George and I played with Holly for a while. We just sat on the bench so not too much energy used!It was pretty breezy, but very enjoyable. We went back to her house and had a sandwich and a piece of cake and then she drove me home,
I mowed both the lawns in the front garden, going to try and keep them trimmed regularly now. The larger lawn is looking quite tidy now,
The tamarix it lovely, not yet at its feathery best but it won’t be long.
I had a bit of a rest then went out to finish off the bed I started yesterday.
I was quite weary by then but did make the effort to water the bonsai trees and they are in full leaf now and the soil soon dries out,
So not planning to do a great deal this evening!
Sounds like a very nice morning out. The dog is very cute ð It’s a very nice view from that bench. Angela is very lucky to live so close.
ReplyDeleteThe front lawn looks really nice now. It really does make a difference cutting it with the hand mower. A bit more effort, but well worth it. It’s just being able to cut it on a regular basis to keep it under control. I’m sure you’ll do your best to keep it up. The bed at the rear looks a lot better after the first dig. It’s all coming along. It’s great that you’ll be able to get a bit of help when you need it too.
I think a quiet evening not doing much is the the ideal ending to your day.
It is a great view from the cliff top and it is lovely for her to live so close. The ball thrower is great for giving Holly plenty of exercise without much effort.
