Boot sale and garden

We went to the boot sale as usual, I took the rollator and it was fine on the uneven ground and on the grass. Got three books for £1 there two for me and we got another on for Tina about The Jerusalem Temple. I went back to the car before Darren and he bought the little ladybird.
He had checked some paving stones that I had spotted were still there so I went back with him and bought them. The guy selling them helped get them to the car. There are three with the squirrel and four with the fox.
Have spent a good amount of time in the garden, would have liked to get more done but my body was telling me to have a rest before getting dinner.
I didn’t took before pics so you will have to trust me that the grass was over the edges and growing in the beds long with the other weeds!
A couple of bus pics, the bee was having a wash and then began to wander off.
The tulips are going over now but still look fabulous.
I bought some plants to add to the planters and got the stuff I needed out by the bench before I got dinner and went out after dinner to get them planted. Not pics of them back in place as the new plants aren flowering yet.
So a fairly busy day and the leg isn’t too pleased with me, but the garden had started to get somewhat out of control!
It rained briefly this evening but hopefully it won’t stop me doing a bit more tomorrow.

  1. An all terrain rollater, even better 😊 You’re really getting into it now, even though you were a bit hesitant at getting one to start with.
I foresee a bit of baking being done to test out some of those recipes. I bet there are some good ones in there, and I bet they don’t need all the fancy ingredients they add these days. Good old proper baking. I look forward to seeing some results, and maybe a recipe occasionally if something takes my fancy.
The pavers look really nice. I bet you’ll be gagging to get them in place. It looks like you’ve had a good day in the garden. What you’ve done looks really good, and I know exactly what the edges would have looked like, so no pics needed.
I notice the bee is on the ground. It’s not one of the burrowing bees is it? I think they’re more orange than yellow though.
I think a lot of flowers still look good even when they’re past their best. As long as they’re still colourful who cares. I’ve been past my best for a lot of years 😄
More plants! Blimey, you’ve bought a lot of plants over the years. You should have run out of room by now 😄
I’m not a bit surprised the leg isn’t pleased with you after your days labouring! Hopefully neither the rain, or your legs will stop doing a bit more tomorrow.

  2. No, it wasn’t a burrowing bee, once it was washed and stretched it’s legs it flow off in search of pollen!
The garden has really taken off in a bad way so I have a challenge to try and get it under control!
I haven’t had a good look at the recipe book yet but I am sure there will be some good, simple things to try.
