Successful maiden voyage!

It has been a fairly quiet day, Bel came to visit me here today and I was able to show her the pictures of the kneelers in the church. She is looking forward to them being dedicated in a service soon. I got a bit of washing done and set off quite early to walk to Jean’s using the rollator for the first time.

It was a revelation, I thought my walking would be much the same but I could rest as often as I needed to, but I was actually walking better as I was more upright and at a better pace. (Not that going faster than I have been walking of late was difficult!). The extra bonus was that I actually got to the seafront without sitting down. Did stop to take a photo in the memorial garden.

I had left plenty of time so walked right along the promenade. I only sat down briefly a couple of times to take photos. Interesting, because I was sitting, two of them have focused on the railings and blurred the background.

It was wintry out and a bitterly cold wind, but I walked further that I have in a while and enjoyed it despite the weather. Have a good chat with Jean as usual and Terry brought me home. I will finish with a stylised version of a photo I took on Wednesday, thanks to Google Photos.
