Tina back home safely

My leg has been quite painful today so no gardening! I walked down Newbegin to go and vote and took a photo of a charity shop window, they always have quite good displays.
Almost forgot I took a couple of pictures yesterday evening when I went to post a letter.
I have two tamarix in the garden now, one doing slightly better than the other. Will be in complete feathery bloom soon.
Angela called after she had finished tidying up in the church and we went to Hornsea garden centre for a sandwich and drink.
I took another box of stuff to the charity shop and then settled down with my feet up for a while.
Tina arrived home about 4pm and obviously really loved her time In Zimbabwe. She bought me back some great gifts, a fabulous gecko, a lovely table runner and two metres of some great quality cotton fabric.
She has gone to bed now, pretty tired after the travelling. I have been sorting through old photos and feel like more clearing out is necessary!

  1. I voted via post last week. It’s much easier that way and I don’t have to mingle with the great unwashed 😂 I’m sure it’ll be interesting to see what the results bring.
I like the pic of the church with the bunting running across the top. Just seems to fit in quite well.
The tamarix looks like it’s doing well. In fact that whole bed looks really nice and colourful.
I bet the Rev was pooped after her long flights. But as long as she had a good holiday that’s all that matters. She’ll want to go back there again I bet. Maybe you’ll get tempted to do a bit more travelling yourself. I love the gifts she brought back for you, particularly the gecko, it’s great! Any ideas for the material?
I’m not surprised she’s gone to bed, I bet she’s knackered. You must be feeling that way yourself, and I certainly am after my restless night.
You’re obviously in a clearing out mood so you’ll have plenty to keep you occupied in the house if you don’t feel like going into the garden tomorrow.

  2. Yes, great gifts, no ideas for the fabric yet but will think of something.
Not visiting Bel in the morning so more sorting may be involved tomorrow!
