Bird feeder working!

Yesterday evening I made a broom for the miniature greenhouse, it nearly went into the Bon when I struggled sticking eight pieces of folded string onto the end of a cocktail stick! That was nothing compared to todays challenge, more of that later!
I decided to catch the bus into Hull early this morning, before bus pass time but only two pound because of the scheme running at the moment. I wanted to go to TK Max as they had the Comic Relief shirts in stock. I usually buy one because I like to support Red Nose Day, but one of them this year I really liked and wanted to get in quickly! This one I will happily be wearing.
While on the bus I got a notification to say there had been a visitor at the bird feeder. Kept it to myself until I got home and saw the proof. After I had bought the swear shirt I had some breakfast and had a walk around the town, walked to Holy Trinity and the along a road I hadn’t walked down before with lots of fish tiles in the paving.

When I got home I checked the iPad and there had been a couple of visitors to the bird feeder. Took a while to work out how to get them on my gallery, but got there and here are some pictures. There was a lovely video of the robin as well.

When I fetched the bird feeder in for the night the lights were on in the church.
I had tea with Darren and this evening made a suitcase for the model. Took me well over an hour and was so fiddly!

Resting my eyes and fingers now!

  1. I think the broom turned out well, and having seen the instructions for tonight’s project in advance, I’m amazed you even made it! 😊
It’s a good idea to go into Hull early and make use of the £2 journey offer. Not sure how long they’ll be offering that. I can see why you wanted that shirt. Very you 😊 You must have a few of those shirts as you’ve been buying them for comic relief for a very long time.
I do like Hull. There are so many arty things there, like the fish tiles. I’ve never seen them anywhere else. It’s a really nice place and can see why you really like going there. It’s a great place for pics. You always find something new…..to me anyway.
The bird pics are so good. The bird feeder camera turned out to be a great pressie from the Rev, even though it did induce a bit of stress to start with. You’re going to enjoy seeing all the different feathery visitors, and maybe some furry ones too!
The pic of the church is really unusual. You don’t normally see the windows lit like that from the inside. I’ve taken hundreds of church windows from the inside lit by the sun, but never one like that. Good catch.
I think the suitcase is really good, and so tiny! It’s hard to believe you ended up so nice from that pile of bits 😊 You’re a glutton for punishment!

  2. I did enjoy being in Hull as usual and as you say, very interesting if you bother to look. I don’t thinkI have ever really liked the shirts before and this one is funny but not obviously a Comic Relief one.
Delighted with the quality of the photos from the feeder, fingers crossed there will be some different visitors.
The accessories for the greenhouse are certainly challenging me, but the result will hopefully be good.
