Keeping Tina company

Today Tina was due to have a cataract removed and Angela was collecting us to go to the hospital at 11.45 am.
I managed to get all the plants we bought yesterday into the gardens. It was a bit awkward as my knee is still sore, but a good job done. I also topped up the bird food containers in the store.
We went under the bridge that I have walked over several times.
Only one person could go in with Tina so we said cheerio and went for a coffee and waited for an update. Tina texted to say she was last on the list and wouldn’t be out until about five. Angela wasn’t keen on driving home in the dark so I contacted Darren and he said he would come and collect us. I went into the hospital and Angela went home. I waited in reception for over two and a half hours, but had a book so it was fine. Tina sent a text with a picture while she waited for her cup of tea.
Driving home with Darren I took another pic of the bridge and of a painted wall.
I went and collected fish and chips for tea and we have done the shopping list. Tina seems okay but her eye is a bit sore now.
We will watch Death in Paradise soon.

  1. It’s been nearly a week now since you fell on the knee. You must have given it a really good knock for it still to be sore. Hopefully it’ll start to ease up soon. Mind you I don’t suppose gardening helps much!
I really feel for Tina having that done. I could cope with most procedures, but anything to do with the eyes makes me cringe! I hope it makes things better for her and she can get back to normal soon. Typical that she was last on the list, isn’t that always the way? Lucky that Darren was on standby for chauffeuring duties too. Good job you took a book with you to help the time pass.
Nice to get home and settled for the evening. You can breathe out and relax 😊

  2. Seemed like a long day, but I was reading my book about wrens again which is fascinating.
Fingers crossed Tina seems pretty okay at the moment.
