Meeting and long walk!

This morning we had a meeting with a housing officer. Unlikely to get the desired outcome but she seemed interested enough to reassure Rose that they would do what they can to accommodate her. After that we went to the Orton centre for lunch and then got ingredients for pancakes. Wasn’t sure about the almond milk but was happy to give it a go! Another fun sign in the cafe!
Rose took the shopping home as she was going to visit a friend this afternoon, I decided to go for a walk. I decided to try and walk to Nene Park, asked several people which direction to go, most had no idea and those that did have an idea stressed it was a long way. I must have seemed a decrepit old lady!! Joking aside, it was a pretty long way and not a bench in sight. I wasn’t sure hat was the priority when I arrived, loo, sit down or painkillers!
After that I thought I would get to the Oundle Road and catch a bus, but none went along that end, so did another longish walk having to ask directions and eventually got to a bus stop to get back! Will just add lots of pics now.

Next photo is from that bridge.

  1. It’s really good they said they can accommodate her. Little steps I suppose, but getting there!
They do have some good signs in that cafe. Very unusual.
I’ve not made pancakes for a really long time, but can image it wasn’t ideal with almond milk.
You should sleep well tonight after all that walking. I can imagine those people thinking little old lady won’t make it there 😄 I probably wouldn’t have made it there. I’d have sat down and called a taxi!
Some nice pics. It was a nice day again so perfect for a bit of photography. Think it’s supposed to go downhill rapidly over the next few days. Make the most of it.

I ache a bit but not too badly considering and it was a nice day for a walk.
