I got a taxi to Rose’s house and we had a cuppa and a chat. She was off to see her mum so I went and caught the bus into town, having got a key so that I could get in if I got home before her. I went to the town hall but you can’t see anybody now to get housing advice, it is only on the phone, I decided to look up Anya’s address and walk to her new house, 1.4 miles so not too bad. I had been cold earlier but walking there with the rucksack on meant I was well and truly warm when I arrived. We had a cuppa and a quick chat and I had a look round the very lovely house. Not at its best yet as they only moved in a week ago, she took some photos of me, not near boxes before she dropped me back at the shops near where Rose lives.
I got off at the shops because Rose had asked if I would get something in for tea, she has a shopping delivery due tomorrow.. this sign must be new as it is not been scribbled on, which is the norm in Orton!
We have chatted and had dinner and I have come upstairs to do the blog and then perhaps a puzzle quietly as it has been a long and quite full day. I had a different bed Buddy for a few minutes!
It’s been a long day for you then, hopefully you’ll sleep well tonight.
ReplyDeleteGlad the trains weren’t too busy as it makes it easier for you to stow your case. These train journeys are old hat for you as you do them quite often. With any luck you can get things sorted in good time and be able to make your way back up north. I bet Pandora is missing you already ☹️
Anya’s new abode looks really nice. Great front door 😊
Rose will enjoy having you there for a while, if nothing else she’ll enjoy you shopping and cooking for her 😄
Hope tomorrow goes well and produces some results. Good luck.
It has been a long day, great to see the house though.
ReplyDeleteWill give getting things sorted my best shot!
