I went out for breakfast again today, twice in one week! Met Sarah, David and Eileen in Bemora. The food was good but the service slow as all freshly cooked, so not a place to go if you are in a hurry. At midday went with Tina to Beverley, she needed to do some barking. I called into the shoe shop next door and ended up buying some sandals. Will take a pic tomorrow as I forgot and now have Pandora on my lap! Then we parked up at Lidl and used the charger which was available. We had a quick shop and then had a drink sitting in the car. Then it was off to The Spire hospital for my appointment with Mr Haeney. I had a list of questions and we had a good chat. He has me on the nhs list and has specified four surgeons, one of which is him. He explained the ‘block’ procedure and went into more detail about the surgery. I will remain on the list and one of the secretaries will phone me with the price for going private. A good meeting and I do have options.I did tell him it is getting worse, he said to let him no if it continues to get worse and he will try and move me up the list. We came straight home when I came out, a full day for Tina who is still recovering from Covid. We spotted Lesley as we drove into Hornsea so I phoned her once we were in as I found something of hers in the little cabinet she gave me. I popped round and returned it and we had a brief chat. Took a couple of pics in the church yard on the way back.
Looks like no pics tonight, getting a message saying there is a problem transferring them from Google photos to the gallery!
So I will hopefully finish this post tomorrow!
Have watered the gardens and repotted the calla lilies. Watching England ladies losing their match at the moment!
Just turned the iPad off and on again and have moved the pics across now. So, the two roses.
I walked down to Boyes to buy a couple of planters, got a couple, not big and very cheap, to repot the calla lilies.
To say that the poor things were root bound would be an understatement! Hopefully they will be much happier now.
Extra time now and they are in the lead!
You are becoming a gadabout. Breakfast twice in one week is good, it could become a habit.
ReplyDeleteMr Heaney sounds like a very nice man. Doesn’t seem to give you the normal waffle that others do. Actually a surgeon you can probably trust! Anyway, at least you know where you stand now.
I bet Tina was worn out after your little trip around. Covid does seem to be knocking six bells out of people at the moment.
Bet those lilies are breathing a sigh of relief now 😊
Talking of travels, have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteTina was pretty exhausted last night but will hopefully gradually improve now.
Had a jog betting those lilies out of the little grey pots!
