While we were there I got some more supplies for lectern cleaning! They had the Scrub Daddy’s there and thought I would try the cream cleaner with micro crystals!
We had a lazy afternoon, watched England win their rugby match and then this evening we all went out to dinner. We went to the Pizza Parlour in the city centre, it is an independent small place and the food and service were really good. They did bring a candle out at the end for Niles stuck in a dessert. I didn’t have my phone with me so I didn’t get a picture. Talking of the phone it wasn’t charging and Skip found another lead that fitted and it started to charge, so it seems I need to get a new lead. When we got home Rachel brought the birthday cake out and we all sung again!
I think that was enough embarrassment for Niles for one day!
We have just watched tv this evening so a very restful day. Tomorrow I am looking forward to spending time with my sister and niece.
It’s good you were there for his birthday. Nice bit of sunshine and what looks like a very nice scone. Perfect. That’s the sponge you were on about. Hopefully the combination of that and the cream will make the job a bit easier.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a really nice day altogether. Makes a change for you to sit around doing nothing.
Those charging leads don’t last long these days. I bet Darren has loads of them laying around, so getting another won’t be a problem.
Have a good day tomorrow with M&R.
It was good to be around for the birthday and family meal out, and certainly a different sort of day.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the cream and hard sponge, and the other bits I have bought will help with the mammoth lectern task!
