Tina dropped me off in the market square in Beverley at about eleven.
I took a slow walk along the Main Street until I came to the antique centre, went in to have lunch and then have a look around. I don’t usually take pictures of my meals out but this was delicious, avocado and cherry tomatoes on toasted sour dough bread.
That was delicious and a nice cuppa, perfect. Looking round I spotted the most amazing spider ring and it is expanding so fits my chunky fingers! £5 and even put in a box!
I walked back through the market square and up towards St Mary’s church, a couple of photos as I really like it!
I went and sat in the memorial garden behind the church. Love the ‘there but not there’ structures and also the mural.
Managed to miss a bus by a whisker so went and had a coffee as they run hourly! While I was out I had two more enquiries about the course on Friday, so it should be a good turn out! Made a nice change and it didn’t over challenge the knee.
Always nice to go somewhere else for a change. I’ve only ever driven through Beverley but remember it be quite pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe lunch does look really nice, and really healthy too. Bet it was extremely tasty.
Nothing to be said about the spider ring other than it could have been made specially for you. Very fortuitous you decided to visit Beverley today or you wouldn’t have seen it. Fate I think.
It looks a nice place for taking pics. Churches always make great subjects for pics with all the different angles and shapes. Reasonably nice day and weather for it too. The see through soldiers have been a great idea from the start. They do the job they were designed for perfectly.
Apart from missing the bus not a bad trip out, specially if it didn’t tax the knee.
Thought the joke was funny by the way 😊
Such a nice place with interesting buildings and lots of different shop windows to look in.
ReplyDeleteIt did make a change and as you say got a bargain ring!
The garden behind the church is very peaceful, a nice place to sit away from the busy town centre.
Yes, I liked the joke, made me smile.
