Sun pictures.

This morning I set off to go swimming, another picture of my spectacular poppy plant.
As I neared the park the new growth on the plant before the entrance looked like it was aflame in the sunshine,
The waters in the park were so still today, beautiful.

I had a reasonable swim, the pool wasn't too busy and walked back through the park again. This tree appears to be dead apart from the branches at the bottom.
In one of the shelters there is a hole that looks like a picture frame, I did take a picture through it some time ago, but worth another on I think.
I spent an hour or so working on bits of the back garden I could reach. Won't do before and after as there doesn't look a lot of difference, but I filled my pink garden truck twice and the garden recycling bin is now full.
Charlie was on the settee where I usually sit when I came in so I sat on the 'cat chair'. I had a mug of water next to me and the next thing I knew was Blue was having a drink from it!!
Tina and I went up to the church and spent a couple of hours polishing the altar brass ware.
We forgot to take tooth brushes with us so couldn't get into the crevices, but they look good and we will go again armed with the tooth brushes.
A busy day but I have use the pyrography pen on one more blank.
I have been looking for replacement tips but it appears you have to buy a complete set and I really just want the fine ones.

  1. A busy day, but you've got some nice pics from it. The skies are always good, and normally I don't mind the chimney. But I think the first one would be better without it. A lovely colour. Love the picture framed by the window, that's a great shot and you spotted a good opportunity there. You certainly do have an eye for something different.
Polishing the brass looks like hard work. They should lacquer it all now its shiny and it would stay like. Save a bit of work.
Really like the latest bit of pyrography. It's my favourite so far, and your still only practicing :-) Hope you eventually find somewhere to buy individual tips. They do tend to do things like that so you spend more!

  2. I still have four of the round blanks, it is just thinking of something to do on them, but I will think of something else.
There is a huge brass eagle lectern, think that is the next thing to get a makeover!
