The sky got a little more colourful last night, now sun today so no sunset pictures.
I phoned the hospital to check that I still needed to attend the physio appointment today as the consultant discharged me last week. They said to attend so thought I might be able to sneak an exercise sheet for the knee! Got some washing done then set off as it is a two bus journey. I wanted to get there early and maybe be seen very promptly as Sandy had her first Potty Pensioners session at the studio today and I wanted to be there to support her. I did get seen slightly early, a lovely young man called Matt, it was his first day, so he was reluctant to make any suggestions about the knee, which is fine, I have a doctors appointment on Friday anyway. He did lots of tests, watched how I got up and down and measured the ankle strength. All good apart from balancing on one leg! I have three weeks now, with exercises to do, to try and build up to standing on the mended ankle for 30 seconds with my eyes closed! Can do 5 at a push with my eyes open at the moment, so better make sure I do the exercises.
I managed to get to the studio before the pensioners session started, just three of us today but pleasant and hopefully more people will see the adverts and come along next time. I painted a spoon rest as I managed to break mine a couple of weeks ago.
There was a large amount of red paint left over by somebody, and Sandy had been decorating mugs with spare paint rather than just get rid of it. I had a go at the 'dripping' effect, looking forward to seeing it fired.
The ankle as well as the knee ache this evening, but it did get quite a working out earlier. So a quiet evening and will do a bit more to the puzzle. This one is quite tricky but also enjoyable as if is a lovely picture.
You're getting close the the end of the journey with the ankle, hopefully you won't have to start one with the knee now! Still think it's funny they get you to balance with your eyes shut! I wonder how many people fall over and end up back in hospital? :-)
ReplyDeleteThe spoon holder looks nice, and they're a good idea too. I always end up balancing one on something when I'm cooking and it usually falls off and makes a mess! Think the cup is great. A simple idea but effective. Personally I think I'd have just had the drips running from the top down and not bothered with the bottom ones. Bright red drips should look great when fired.
Lovely sky picture.
I find the idea of the balancing on one leg with my eyes closed a bit daunting but I will give it a go!! It will be good to see the items fired, should get them on Friday.
ReplyDeleteI am sure not only will you master the balancing you will make some bean bags and juggle whilst doing so xxxx
ReplyDeleteOh, to have someone with such faith in me, or should I say with such pretty rose coloured spectacles! xxx
