I usually go to the studio on a Tuesday morning and keep Sandy company while I clean and fill the paint pots, but as I had a lunchtime physio appointment I said I would see her there after I came back from the hospital. I had a bit of time so I made up another packing box and got the quilts and a few other bits boxed up. I went out to catch the first bus, was welcomed by a lovely mauve sight, the small flowers are actually growing in the dividing wall!
I was in plenty of time for the second bus and was at the hospital in good time too. I had a good, and honest, chat with Matt, the physio, because I hadn't kept up with the exercises because it was too painful. I told him I was walking more and had been swimming. He examined my foot and got me to go on tiptoes and said I was doing everything right by building up the exercise and he was happy to discharge me. He did say it the foot swell right up and gets hot and red, or if I feel something 'pop' I should get to the doctors quickly! (he obviously hasn't tried making appointments at out surgery!!) I wandered around outside the hospital a bit while I waited for the bus back to town and just love this pine tree.
I got to the studio just before 2 pm and before I went out I had printed off a picture to copy, decided on a cake stand when I looked round the studio.

It is in two parts but the base I have just painted in plain pastel colouring. I walked home from the studio today and have had dinner and will now clear away before Holby later.

  1. That's great news about be discharged. You're pretty sensible (at times) so you know what's good and bad regarding what you can and cannot do, and I'm sure things will go well with it. If not, then hopefully you'll know three weeks in advance to be able to get a doctors appointment :-)
Love the cake plate! The otter is obviously perfect for you, and the L'otter Cake was inspired! You're very good at that sort of thing. No sunset pics tonight, you're slipping :-)

  2. Thought the plate would make you smile!
Hopefully I won't be needing any rushed journeys to the docs!
