Starting with sky pics again, quite different again.
This morning I walked to town up Trafalgar Road, the steep route into town. Managed quite well and then walked down through the town to Boyes. I am making a bag for Isobel and needed more material, as I didn't have enough when the pattern arrived. They had run out of the material I had so I bought some different material and will make the bag up using both. I bought all the other things needed to complete it as well. I walked home, stopping for a glass of water and a quick chat at the studio. Walking down North Marine I thought this hotel garden was stunning.
Last night I started a little 100 piece jigsaw. I did the edges and then wondered why I was finding it so difficult as the pieces didn't seem right. Then I worked out that the jigsaw was actually in reverse to the picture on the box! You would be surprised how weird that made it to complete!
It was really lovely out so this afternoon I set off with the intention of trying to walk along the sea wall to the south bay. I used my Sketcher shoes, I have been wearing sandals for a couple of weeks, and to start with I thought I would have to come straight home as the ankle was uncomfortable. But it did settle down so I set off up North Marine again and cut through to the cliff top. A man gave me an ice cream as he had bought a box of four and it was spare and he didn't want to bin it. I enjoyed it as I walked down one of the slopes to the coast road. I did make it to the south bay and only sat down for a rest once.
I carried on along to the Life boat station as I thought they had an information centre, but they only had leaflets. I want a map, can't find the one I have, as I want to work out the route to the new swimming pool. A fantastic day and this picture of the beach shows just how busy it was.
I had a cup of tea and then caught the bus back to the north bay. Walked up from the beach quite slowly as that is much more walking than I have done in a long while.
This morning I bought three dvd's from a little shop that has opened near the studio, One pound for the three, one of them was The Thomas Crown Affair which I have watched this afternoon.
It has started to cloud up tonight, maybe rain will come tomorrow, but I did water my bonsai trees when I got back this afternoon.
Like the chimney in the second pic tonight, it sets it off. Really like the last pic of the clouded sky too.
ReplyDeleteYou've been a busy bee today, lots of exercise. But while the weathers nice it has to be done. You have such gorgeous scenery too when you have all that sea to your left, and that castle up there on the right. Think I'd have to walk it every day.
I didn't notice the puzzle being reversed in that pic until I read your comment. I can imaging it makes it really odd when you're doing it. Better than the baked bean ones. Maybe a Scarborough map with the pic reversed on the box :-)
The other bay looks a bit busy, but it is June now. I keep forgetting that.
June and half term, perfect for the families.
ReplyDeleteI have done a fair bit today, hope I don't pay for it tomorrow. I am going to try the library for a map next!
