This morning my ankle had swollen and was a bit painful, but I think that was due to the manipulation yesterday and me deciding to get going with the exercises as well. The knee has been painful too, so had a nice little trip out with Darren but otherwise have stayed in. I had two full loyalty cards for Deans Garden Centre so we were going there for a drink, and probably cake as theirs are really good! Darren drove via the sea front which was nice, it was still a choppy sea. I sat in the car while Darren went into B & Q. I was intrigued by the reflections in a large window near the car and the distortion. Took this one through the car windscreen.
We then went on to Deans and had our drinks and cake. We had a wander round outside, I had seen some lovely dark red blossom from the window. I turned out to be a weeping Japanese cherry.
There was a fabulous little mini potting shed, it had no price on it so we asked a young member of staff. He told us it was just for display and he had 'thrown it together from bits and pieces they had lying around'. He didn't respond when I asked if he would like to  make me one!!
This anemone was so striking.
On the way back we called in at the big Lidl. I got a really swish hand blender with different attachments.
I also got a set of pots to re-pot my coffee trees. I have put a mug next to the re-potted plants as originally they were all in a mug smaller than that one. I have probably had them getting on for a couple of years now.
While on a plant theme, I was watering the bonsai trees earlier and the little holly tree has actually got flowers.
I finished the jig saw, it was quite tricky and when the spaces didn't match the pieces I had to look closely and see which ones were in the wrong places. I enjoyed doing it though and it is such an attractive garden.
I chopped up a lot of old vegetables which would have been heading for the bin soon, and then blitzed them with the new blender. It was delicious, even if it doesn't look very appetising!
Tina has her interview tomorrow but it will be a while before we know if she has been successful

  1. I looked at that first photo before I read the text and wondered what had happened to it. Thought it had corrupted as it was uploaded!
A nice little trip out with Darren breaks the day up for you when you're not feeling up to walking around much. It's amazing the draw those cakes at Deans have :-) Lovely little shed.
Can't see you getting a cup of coffee out of those coffee trees for a few years yet, so you'll just have to keep dropping into Thorntons for one :-)
I look forward to seeing what else you make with the new hand blender. Just make sure it's unplugged before you change the blades or dry it. Mine nearly had my fingers once!

  2. A pretty good day considering I haven't felt the best. Got a got a few things done though.
I will be careful with the blender, will have a look through the booklet for ideas.
I bet you were confused by that first picture!!
