This morning Sandy called for me to take me up to the studio. I did a bit of weeding while I was waiting as she rarely arrives on time! I went over to take a picture of the solitary Californian poppy int the garden and as luck would have it a bee took a liking to it too.
I started cleaning and filling the paint pots, Sandy had asked if I could cover when she got a phone call to say that her new washing machine had arrived. There was a family in when she had to go but I explained the process and gave then any help they needed until she returned. I had been going to try painting an otter but couldn't find my reference photos, I have probably packed them! So used one of the cards I got when we went to the bird of prey centre as my subject.
It will be ready for collection on Friday. I walked home today as I didn't really want to be there until 5 pm and I had started Sandy off happily painting and no more customers. I cut through to look at the sea. A dull day today and the tide was right out.

Since the surgery and on going other aches and pains I have not been packing things, or generally keeping on top of some sort of order. So today I have started making an effort to get the bedroom a bit tidier, and have got some more stuff ready for the boot sale.
I have done a bit more of the puzzle, this is a really lovely one and I am enjoying it.

  1. Sounds like you've kept yourself busy all day, and been productive too. The plaque looks nice, and very appropriate for you.
The bay always looks nice, no matter what time of year or weather. What are you going to do when you move and can't capture it all the time? You'll no doubt miss it, but I'm sure you'll soon find something else to take its place.
Don't think I've ever seen a yellow poppy before, although I probably wouldn't notice if it jumped out and bit me!
The jigsaw does look a nice one, but I don't think I'd have the patience to do it. Maybe I'll see a cheap one in a charity shop with a picture that takes my fancy and I'll give it a go :-)
