I will make it a fairly short entry today as it is late and I am going to watch the voting of the Eurovision contest. I went into town this morning and intended to do some shopping after I had been to the hairdressers, so I took the shopping trolley on the bus. A garden at the top of the road has bluebells, but not all blue, various shades, very pretty.
I went to the post office for stamps and then to the hairdressers, not sure who had it wrong, probably me, but they weren't expecting me for another hour! So I did some shopping before I had the haircut. Great street entertainers in town today, This Hari Krishna couple were chanting beautifully, they have sessions at the library and I am tempted to go along.
There were also some very colourful and very good pan pipers.
I wanted to buy a couple of cards and ended up buying this cup for me to make drinks for Tina, she does like a good sized cup of tea!
I walked back from town have a little refreshment break at Let it Brie. I developed a pain in a different part of my ankle, at the front this time, I am beginning to think that the road to recovery is going to be a very long one!
I have watched some Line of Duty this afternoon before getting dinner and then going to the Theatre with Sandy. We went to see The Karen Carpenter Story, which was really good and I learnt a lot I didn't know and enjoyed the beautiful renditions of many of their well loved songs.
Eurovision voting to enjoy now!!

  1. Glad you enjoyed your show. It's nice to go out to things like that, and if it's a last minute thing it's better still.
I saw pan pipers in town yesterday too. They looked identical to those in your pic, it must be a generic costume they buy off the shelf at the street performers warehouse! They always sound good, and the ones here have been around for donkeys years.
The mug for Tina is perfect! You'll end up with a sprained wrist to add to your collection of achey body parts!

  2. I don't need any more aches and pains that's for sure!
I remember the pan pipers in Peterborough, they are just here very occasionally, but there is usually some performance going on.
