Last night it was a cloudless sky as it will be again this evening. These pics were just as the sun was going down by the much photographed chimney pot!
That one gives the effect of a double sun, more luck than judgement. This morning I went into town early with Tina who had a nine o'clock eye appointment. The new decor at The Brunswick Centre is quite attractive, no graffiti on it yet!
We went our separate ways, I did quite a bit of shopping and then walked to the studio to see Donna and to collect the cake stand. I really like it but it would seem a shame to cover it with a cake, which rather defeats the object.
I walked home from the studio and as Tina and I both had packages coming today I sat downstairs with a puzzle book for a while so that Tina wouldn't have to come down from the office. I had ordered a pyrography kit and it arrived. I did a little a long time ago and fancied trying it again. I had a little play with just one of the tips, it will need a few more practice pieces before I start anything on a bigger scale.
Going to the church for the opening of the flower festival this evening, I expect there will be some beautiful arrangements so hopefully one or two good pictures for tomorrow.
Ahhhh, the chimney pot. I'll miss that when you move!
ReplyDeleteThe cake stand is really lovely, but I would love to see it, in person, covered with a nice big cream and jam filled Victoria sponge :-) I could definitely pig out on that!
Looks a nice little pyrography set. The one you've tried is pretty good as far as I can see. I look forward to seeing what others you come up with.......maybe a castle?
Hope you enjoy the flower festival.
I was quite pleased with that first attempt, may try another tip tomorrow. I really do like my cake stand, I just have so much pottery now!
ReplyDeleteYou need find an artistic hobby that takes up less room. Painting thimbles for instance :-)
ReplyDeleteTee hee, that would be a challenge, don't think they have any at the studio!!
