Firstly I should say congratulations to Portugal for winning the Eurovision Song Contest, as I know I have people in Portugal who look at this blog.
Last night the sky was great, I took a few pictures through the window as usual but the outside is very mucky now and I have no way of reaching it!
As the sky got even more gorgeous I moved stuff around so that I could open the window.
Yesterday evening I decided I would go swimming today. Don't think I have been this year. I couldn't find my membership card to begin with but after searching I realised it was on the floor! Darren took me up there today, firstly they said my card wasn't coming up, then the locker ate my money and I had to go and find someone to help, then I found out the pool is closing in a couple of weeks! Not before it is time as it is an awful place, but the new one is out of town and pretty difficult for me to get to. I managed 16 lengths, I was aiming for 20 but was tired physically and of having to dodge the other swimmers.
I walked up the hill a bit and down the deep hill to the start of the glen and then into the park. The cafe was just opening so I had a cup of tea there. It has been raining all day and it was wet as I walked back. Today was enjoy the flora day.
The glen looks lovely whatever the weather, I only passed by the end of it today.
A few more bright and happy plants, they were so in need of this rain.
As I walked up the slope out of the path I thought there was a large frog ahead.
It was actually this leaf!!
Darren and I went and got a bit of shopping at lunchtime and had a snack. Other than that I have really got stuck into sorting out the bedroom a bit and have finished the puzzle. I love this one, I will pack it away for now but will do it again when I have room to mount it for the wall.
Those skies are lovely. Well worth moving things around for. You really are lucky!
ReplyDeleteBit of a cafuffle getting to swim, and then finding out its closing, but 16 lengths is good. You'll have to get up there a few more times before it closes to get your monies worth out of your season ticket!
Very colourful flower pics from the park today, and when I saw that picture, I immediately thought it was a frog too! Had to zoom in to get a good look at it :-)
The puzzle really is a nice one, and very you. Definitely a framer.
Not such nice weather, but a good photograph day today I think. Glad you thought frog as well as me!
