Today has been wet and grey again and it is quite cool. I had the package to send and coins to cash in at the bank, so I caught the bus into town and did what I needed to do. I had an ankle support on as it was playing up again today, but I had a walk around and what a difference a day makes. umbrellas in evidence in Bar Street.
I walked from there to the studio to collect my plaque. It comes with copper wire and a selection fo beads and buttons, but I didn't think they were appropriate for this particular painting.
Had a bit of a chat with Donna and a cuppa then decided to walk home. Sandra was alone in the craft shop and was pleased to see me and we had a bit of a catch up, which was nice. She doesn't open the shop anymore unless there is a quilting course going on, so catching her on her own is rare. Then I walked the rest of the way home, was struggling a bit by the time I got to our road, but made it and knee and ankle don't feel too bad at the moment.
Darren and Tina have gone away, just over night, so I am on cat duties.
I re-potted the coffee plants a couple of weeks ago and they must be happy because one or two are already showing signs of new leaves.
I always enjoy Have I Got News For You and The Last Leg is back tonight, so some light hearted laughter in store this evening.
At least you managed to get out for a while, even though it does look a bit miserable in the photo. Been pretty much like that this way too. Roll on summer!
ReplyDeleteThe plaque looks really nice, and there looks a lot of detail in the feathers. I never know how you manage that on something like ceramic. Lots of patience helps I suppose.
I re ember when you first got the coffee plants. They've come on really well. Be a few years before you get a cup of coffee from them though!
Have fun, if that's the right word, cat sitting. I'm sure they'll be angelic and very well behaved for you :-)
Maybe I'm thinking of a different program, but do you mean The Last Leg?
Don't know where that came from, yes, the last leg, I will amend it and then these messages will be very confusing! I enjoyed painting the buzzard and purposely kept the colours muted.
