Last night I finished the retro puzzle and have packed it away now and will take it to the boot sale.
The cats were very well behaved so looking after them went well. It was a beautiful morning with rain forecast later, so I made a flask and snack and set off down the front. I caught one of the coastal buses and went along to the Spa end for a change. I went on top of the open air bus and it was pretty chilly but it blew the cobwebs away. The Spa end is quieter and peaceful, the bay there is huge, or seems that way.
Looking down at one of the beaches.
Then one from under the covered walkway to try and catch the glistening sea.
Rain clouds kept threatening, but it remained dry while I was out.
One looking back at the south bay.
A couple of shots with some yachts.
A group of youngsters were having fun near the spot where I sat and watched the sea as it was almost high tide.
There was a small sort of jetty where I was sat on the wall, I tried to get the waves breaking over it several times, every time I decided to give up a bigger wave came!
I walked back along to catch the bus back to the north bay. I was quite tired by the time I had walked up the hill and got home. Made sure the cats were okay and gave them their dinner then came up to put my feet up for a bit. Darren and Tina arrived back about 2 pm and had a good time. Darren was soon off to his archery class then. I have been sorting more stuff for the boot sale and have the float ready, I hope it isn't raining all evening so that we can get the car loaded.
A nice trip out this morning then. Some of the clouds in the photos look really, specially when combined with some waves on the sea. Worth the trip on a cold bus for the pictures alone. Your flask is getting a few outings too :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad the cat sitting went ok. At least you can get up and down the stairs easier now, so it's a bit easier looking after them.
Hope it stays fine for the car booting, and the sausages baps :-)
It was nice to get along that end, it is pretty and not overly busy. There were some good clouds today.
