Last night I spent over an hour sorting through my earrings, I have way too many so a lot are going to the boot sale. Was up early today as Darren and Tina were both out by 7 am and they had a parcel due to arrive this morning. I went downstairs for 7 am as I cannot race down the stairs these days when the bell rings. Tina was back at 10 am and no delivery had been made, but I filled my time collapsing boxes and getting recycling ready and then did quite a few puzzles in my Puzzler magazine. Even got to sit in the rocking chair I covered as it lives down there at the moment.
I had a package to send, and it was a lovely day, so I caught the bus to town with the intention of going to look at the south bay while I was there.
I needed to get a present for my grand-daughter so that it could be mailed (another post office trip tomorrow), then I walked along to the bay.
I was facing the sun and couldn't see a thing, I was shielding the camera with my hand. Then the pirate ship came into view, again I couldn't see and took a couple of pictures missing it completely!
A lovely clear day so a good view of the castle from the other side.
The sea was a lot calmer than it has been lately.
I got some great storage boxes in The Works, they are very well made, I assembled them for the photo and have collapsed them again for the time being. They will be lovely when we move and can be on show in the bedroom.
The tamarix has survived the winter and had blossom forming, not all over but quite a bit. I have always loved the blossom because it is so fine it looks like feathers.
My ankle was playing up today, the knee and ankle are now taking it in turns, so I rested a bit this afternoon but also cleared up my cooking area and organised the mountain of stuff I have for a boot sale. I have started another puzzle, only 300 pieces and not totally to my liking, but it is colourful and it was cheap!
I will finish off with a cloud picture today especially for Rachel for when she next checks in.
Quite a lot of time on your feet today, so I'm not surprised your ankle aches a bit. Don't overdo it, they'll be plenty of time to do stuff once it's fully better. Not that you'll take a blind bit of notice :-)
ReplyDeleteYou should have shares in that post office with the amount of time and money you spend there! I think it's you that keeps Royal Mail afloat! Talking of nautical things, you did at least manage one pic with the pirate ship in.
The tamarix is doing well. Can't remember if that one has been through as much grief as the one you had in Welland. You don't have much luck with them.
Nice pictures of the bay, looks very inviting. Very postcard like. Love the cloud photo at the end, but I think I'd have cut off the roofline at the bottom and just have it as clouds.
This tamarix ended up under the Wizard of Oz shed, I had to prune it free!! So no, haven't had much luck with them but this one will flourish now, hopefully. The Royal Mail do get plenty of business from me!!
ReplyDeleteLike the Wizard Of Oz shed description, very fitting :-)
ReplyDelete:) made me smile when I typed it!
