This morning, after putting the cats out early as they were being very irritating, I could have my tea in bed in peace when the alarm went off. I wrote a letter and got a package wrapped to get posted and Darren dropped me near the post office. We arranged to meet at Sainsbury's for a snack after he had done a couple of errands.I was talking to Georgia in Debenhams and was saying that I thought I would get a walking stick. She said try the mobility centre just around the corner. I did go there and had a chat with a very lovely lady who has been having fairly similar problems to me but for a different reason. They had one cane left, but quite a nice pattern so I bought it, worth a try. She also told me about a scheme they run for using their mobility scooters, so will give that some thought.
I did use the cane walking up to Sainsbury's, takes getting used to, I started with using in on the left side, which is the bad ankle. But when I tried it on the right side I think it helped more as it eased the pain in my right knee. Will go out with it again tomorrow. Now, a tale of two begonias. Oh dear,
And happy days!!
I have just pottered this afternoon, but felt like a bit of crafting. I had a little decoupatch  glue left, had bought some of the papers in a sale a while back, and a couple of little boxes to cover last week.
Almost finished off the glue but they are now covered.
This evening it was a muted sky, it is chilly now but has been a lovely day.

  1. Hmmmmm, early morning irritating cats, not the best start to a day. But as you say at least you got to relax in bed with a cuppa in peace. Don't know how you've managed all these years without a Teasmaid! Bet you couldn't now :-)
The walking stick looks pretty solid so should do the trick quite well. It'll take you a while to get used to it though, but if it helps that's great. They're handy for dragging things closer to you, poking cats with, and humans too come to that! I've thought of getting one for when the crazy cyclists come full pelt down the footpath. Could "accidentally" poke it through the spokes of their front wheel :-)
The boxes look good. Are you going to use them to put pressies in?
The sky in the last picture is lovely. The cloud shapes, and the silhouette really make it. Good capture.

  2. No aerials either!! Definitely have one small present already that can go in one of the boxes, and am sure I will get something else to go in the other one. The different skies and different clouds are a constant delight, I would never have thought there could be so much variety.
