I didn't sleep too badly, not too much coughing, which was good. I am getting the runny cold and still have the cough, but my throat isn't quite so sore, so will keep up with the Lemsips and Vicks! Lovely morning and I wrapped up sensibly and went to the boot sale with Darren. After our breakfast I managed to wander round for an hour or so today before returning to the car. I couldn't resist this set of cute little piggies, because of course I am in desperate need of more nicknacks!! But they were a pound for the lot......
I used to have a set of the scissors with patterned edges and really didn't use them that much, did manage to sell them on Ebay. But now I have decided to make my Christmas cards this year I bought a couple of pairs for 50 p each today. Have now made 10 cards and have been using both pairs of scissors this afternoon.
So one unnecessary buy, but cute, one useful and the other one is a different story. I had said to Darren that I would like to get a Teasmade, just before I was going back to the car we saw a Russell Hobbs Chelsea Teamaker. Didn't look inside the kettle and was assured it worked. This one is just the kettle and that is not great inside, the clock doesn't work so you cannot actually set it to come on at a specific time. You can press the 'now' button so may have to use it at least once! I will keep an eye out for one like my parents had with a teapot.
No more sport to watch and Lewis came third in the Grand Prix plus we were knocked out of the Davis cup. so all downhill now! Doctor Blake Mystery soon and I am not decided whether I will watch some of the closing ceremony.
Some good car boot bargains! Bet the clock can be fixed on the Teasmaid. Darren.....where are you? :-) The pigs just had to be bought, and they won't take up much space!
ReplyDeleteThe cards are coming on well, but not so easy when you're feeling cold infested. Plenty of time until Christmas though.
Oh dear, the sportsmen and women aren't doing so well now the games have ended. Louis and Andy will soon get back on top though.
Yes, hopefully they will. The paralympians are being flown home in a golden nosed chartered plane the same as the olympians which is great, I hope they get an equally warm reception. The runny nose is getting ultra irritating now!
