This morning I caught the bus into town and managed to make a hair appointment for tomorrow morning. Will be able to catch the same bus again, because at the moment walking to town is not really an option as my ankle is really painful. I got a few things I needed and then made my way up to Sainsbury's where I had arranged to meet Darren. Rested in the little green area opposite the railway station for a few minutes.
We did a bit of shopping and were back by lunchtime. I did some washing and got it out on the line today for a good blow. Have been tidying the cooking area and did sort out some calligraphy ink to try out the new dip pen.
I fed the Christmas cakes, that's the third lot of brandy and they are looking and smelling good. I also made an apple crumble for Darren and Tina to have as dessert this evening. Other than that not much to report but it has been a great sky again tonight.
You're still getting out a bit, even with the bad ankle. You've not given up, that's the main thing.
ReplyDeleteThe writing with the dip pen looks very nice, but your handwriting is very good anyway. Mike would have looked like a spider had been in the inkpot and run across the page! Never could understand why I started making pens.
Great sunset as usual.
It is a fine nib and does scratch the paper a but. Very thankful for the buses and bus pass as the moment!
ReplyDeleteThe council keep that little area looking pretty, I remember it well. Your writing is far better than anyone else I know, so well done. Mikes pens do make a difference.
ReplyDeleteWeather improving so enjoy you local park not far to go for tour ankle, have tou tried using a stick to help take the presure off?.
I have thought about a stick, but as the knee on the other leg is hurting now I am not sure if I will help one and make one worse! Seeing the doctor tomorrow. x
