Bit of a silly picture to start of a rain splattered train window on the way home last night!
This morning Darren and I went along to the boot sale, it was drizzly but we enjoyed our breakfast as usual. I only wandered for a while and then waited in the car for Darren. Did get a great dip pen set though, which was in need of a clean, both the case and the ink pots, but have now made it quite presentable.

I watched all five episodes of Red Rock that I had missed. Finished for now but it seems certain there will be more to come. I was an emotional wreck by the time it was done with one of the best characters killed in the final stages! I thought I would take myself out for a while after that and the weather had really brightened up as well. I walked down to the front and decided to take the open top bus to the spa end. Took an arty picture of the sky before I got on!
The bay at the spa end is lovely, quieter than the other parts.
I headed towards the clock cafe, I don't think I have made it to there this year, this time I was going slowly to get a bit further.
I had a drink and snack when I got there and took a picture of the view from outside.
Walking back towards the bus stop I spotted these spartan kids!
The view on the way back, and one of the sun lounge.

Back at the north bay the tide was in and the sea terrific.
Just down the road by the shops was this fabulous old ford car so beautifully reconditioned.

Have watch Holby since I got home and one of my favourite characters was stabbed and is fighting for his life, not fun catch up today!

  1. Some nice pics in there today. I actually quite like the first one, the rainy window. It's a good effect, and if you get one through a window with colourful flowers behind it makes a great pic too. The skies and the sea in Scarborough look very blue today, perfect for a slow trek to The Clock cafe. I like that place, it's a 'proper' little cafe. Not posh, and good food.
The pen set is lovely. A definite bargain. You can never have too many pens, unless you're me :-)
You really must stop watching depressing tv programs!

  2. Will sort out some ink tomorrow and try the pen. It is a fine nib, so may have to look up copperplate writing. Still have Casualty to watch so a bit more doom and gloom I suspect!
