I had a better night last night and although I still have a cough but have lost the runny nose which is a good thing. I finished off two bird decoupage cards this morning and I am very pleased with them. I have really enjoyed a couple of intensive days of card making. I have had a couple of years break from card making so it is like a new craft again at the moment.
I joined Tina and her friend to have breakfast at the North Bay cafe, which was nice, it was a bit drizzly so I wore the new waterproof jacket. After I had done the bird cards I knew I needed to get more card blanks and some different backing papers, so caught the but into town. Got what I needed and caught the bus home as well, as the knee and ankle were a bit sore and the weather still a bit on the damp side. In town I have passed this statue so often and have thought it was a ballerina, but never bothered to read the caption on the other side. Turned out to be a Bathing Belle and as interesting caption.
The hydrangea in the garden next door is going over now, but still has a great range of colours.
I have had all three cats up this afternoon, Charlie crashed out on my bed, Colonel was not best pleased that I was card making and wouldn't let him get on my lap and Blue settled down on the pink chair.
A different visitor on the roof opposite this afternoon, makes a change from a seagull.
This afternoon I have been cutting out and assembling 'stack up' cards. When the glue has set I will make the cards, then I will have made over thirty, so going very well.
Holby tonight, so I will look forward to that.
Well you've kept busy and learned something into the bargain. The cards are looking great. I hope the people you send them to appreciate the effort that's gone into them. I think most of your friends will.
