Yesterday I painted some canvases ready to try and do one of the twigs and lights Christmas decorations. I had bought some thin white decorative twigs as I didn't have enough twigs that I had collected. It was a bit of a fiddle fixing the twigs to the canvas and I am not sure whether the price you could ask for them would make it worth the effort. Here it is not lit up.
Then with the lights on (bought in the pound shop)
Today was dry this morning, has become gradually more murky as the day progressed. I went to town on the bike today, took both locks, not that I am paranoid someone will take a fancy to it at all! I bought a few bits from a list and a few unplanned items so my rucksack was crammed. As I usually walk I don't have to worry about the amount I buy as a rule. I used to have bags on the handlebars but am not going to do that any more. Tina phoned to say she would be out at lunchtime so Darren and I went to Sainsbury's for a bit of shopping and a snack. We got a singing, dancing Christmas tree decoration for her which she is delighted with. This afternoon, before I got dinner, I made a couple of Christmas tree decorations made out of cup cake cases. I saw the idea in a book and thought it was a fun idea and they don't take a lot of time or cost a lot.
I will make one more of the light up Christmas tree canvases, they will make presents if they don't sell!
It'll soon be time to move on to Easter decorations! I hope you're planning ahead? :-)
ReplyDeleteThe cake case Christmas trees are a good idea. It amazes me that people actually think these things up. I obviously don't have my brain wired that way as I would never of thought of using them like that!
I was taken with the idea as soon as I saw it, like you say, it is great the imagination some people have!
