The wall in the back garden needs attention, the chap came today to make a start. This is how it was before he arrived, will post an after picture when the work is done!
There is a cupboard near the living room window where I keep the garden tools and various other stuff ends up in there. It has always been a bit of a shambles so today I decided to strip it all out and get it organised, the hope being there would then be space for Darren to store some of the shed stuff that is in the dining room. At the moment there is no way we are eating Christmas dinner in there! So, another before and after set of pictures.
A lot of stuff to go to the tip and now quite a lot of space!! I went off to the dentist and she was able to patch up the small chip without taking the filling out, so less trouble, and cheaper, than I had anticipated.I walked along the cliff top on the way back.
The man came to make a start on the wall and Tina received the the parcel she was waiting for. So we loaded up Darren's car and set off to the tip with stuff from the garden and all the recycling that was building up and some general rubbish. When we got back I did try the cooker, made some cheese scones which I was pleased with and a sponge that I wasn't so pleased with. Think I may have had the heat too high, so will try another at a lower temperature. It always takes a while to get used to a new oven so onward and upward!
Ahhhh, that wall. That answered one of my questions. It's definitely due for a bit of renovation.
ReplyDeleteBlimey, you did clear the cupboard out! That's impressively tidy now, and spacious enough for quite a few boxes out the room. You'll get Christmas dinner yet!
Bet the scones, and the sponge, both go down well between the three of you :-)
Yes, pulled everything out, there was rubble in the back from the bottom of the wall!! Threw lots of stuff out too. Scones are good and I think the sponge will taste ok.
