Yesterday evening I hunted out my decorations and sorted out my little 3 foot tree and got decorating. All the decorations have been made or painted by me, even the pretend tinsel. I have left a few of the knitted items off this year as I had the glass decorations to add and make it a bit different.
One picture a bit closer to the glass snowflakes.
I like the little Christmas ornaments under the tree as well. The wooden on I got from Tina's college when she was studying, the little wooden house lights up, I love the little nativity in an apple and the dainty fairy was made by one of Tina's parishioners I think. This morning I was a bit slow off the mark, pottered indoors and then Tina dropped me off near town when she was off to a meeting. I had some shopping to get but did take a walk along to look at the south bay again, it was bright today but still very windy.
Haven't done a lot since I got in, was feeling really tired, have had the cat on my lap quite a bit. Then he decided he would sit on the Elizabeth Taylor cushion!
It's the grand final of the Pottery Throw Down tonight, can't imagine what challenges they can be given that will be harder than the ones already thrown at them (no pun intended!)
The tree looks really nice. Not much room on there for many more decorations, so it's either a bigger tree, or a decoration rotation schedule for each year.
ReplyDeleteAre there many people about at the South Bay this time of year? I'd imagine a lot of it is shut down for the winter.
Pretty quiet on both bays really, but plenty of dog walkers wherever you go!
