This morning I made two turkey and ham pies so that we could have one later and Anya and Louis could take one back to the holiday home it they wanted to get back a bit earlier. Late morning They came over to collect me so that I could have lunch with them where they are staying and then take a trip to Bempton cliffs. Had a really lovely lunch and then made our way to the cliffs. The visitor centre is closed over the holiday period, but you could still get onto the cliff paths. Not a lot of birds around but the views were great in a wintry way.
This one was through a gap in the cliffs, will add one of the distant view in a bit. some pictures of Isobel today of course.
It was very 'bracing', that definitely became the word of the afternoon!!
Another one of Isobel.
Then Anya took one of me with Isobel.
Not sure if these were guillemots, could get a clearer picture with the newer camera.
And at last a picture of the view!
We went back to the holiday home for a cup of tea and Louis lit up the burner.
They brought me home and collected the pie with instructions for cooking. The cooker this end didn't seem right again so took longer to cook but it was very tasty eventually. Anya said hers cooked beautifully and they really enjoyed it. Last part of 'Then there were none' tonight.
A very nice, but blustery day then. Bet a nice hot turkey and gammon pie made up for a bit of cold weather though. Do you think there's a fault with your new cooker?
ReplyDelete..........and you're right, she's a very pretty girl.
Not sure about the cooker as it was okay on Christmas day. I did nave a thermometer but can't lay my hands on it, if I can't track it down I will buy one.
