I walked into town and took this picture of the statue of barrel boys, a murky day again but I love these metal statues.
I walked down through the old town to the south bay, took these lobster pots, well, I presume that is what they are?
I then decided to walk along the front to the north bay, this picture is looking back towards the south bay as I walked along.
I had made a flask of coffee to take out with me and as I came to this seating area I knew it was time to use it as it was pretty cold on the front!
I had also put a postcard sized sketch book in my rucksack so did a little sketch while I had my coffee.
North bay as I was walking along the front.
Nearing the top!
Onward and upward....
Then finally at the top and not too out of breath!
When I got home the drizzle was just beginning to arrive but I delivered the church Christmas cards for Woodall Avenue before coming indoors and finishing off the coffee in the flask. When Tina got home she had bought me a really lovely bouquet of flowers (too nice to be called a bunch!) I have arranged them in two containers.
Luther is back tonight!!
I'd say they were lobster pots too, but I'm no fisherman!
ReplyDeleteThe walk along both bays is always nice, regardless of weather. So many different views and angles. Don't think I'd ever get bored with it. The uphill path looks a bit of a killer though, specially for someone with bad knees and ankles :-)
Do you still have anywhere left you could display the peacock if you do it?
Not really, would probably stay in the shop, the lady hasn't come home yet! It was a grey and murky day today but as you say the bays are always interesting.
