This morning I helped Tina get the sandwiches ready for her lunchtime meeting, then went off to the surgery to get my flu jab. Jab being the right word today as she really did plunge the needle into my arm quite painfully! Then I headed off to the ceramic studio as I had several things I wanted to get painted. Spent about three hours or so there and it was very enjoyable. I had two bauble trinket boxes that I bought last year that still needed painting, so I started with them.
When I was in Peterborough I bought two items from Androicas, which has now closed and they were selling off the remaining stock. Isobel chose a whale for me to paint.
I also bought a cross which looked fairly dull just in the white bisque, but I decided to decorate it in stained glass fashion!
I had a few drops of paint left over so decided to use it on a coaster rather than waste it.
I had taken the new camera to show Sandy and we set up the timer as she wanted to see it in action! She was making clay shapes for a lady who paints them when fired and makes them into brooches.
I cooked tea this evening, toad in the hole for Darren and Tina and a vegetable lasagne for me. I will get another three helping from it so worth the effort. The new pottery show is on tonight, but I will watch Lewis and see the shorter pottery program on the iplayer.
You have been busy. My favourite is the cross, I think the pattern suits it totally. See, two visits to the stained glass museum paid off :-)
ReplyDeleteThe pod is great for selfies.
I think the cross should be quite splendid when it is glazed and fired. Getting the hang of the camera now.
