I had a hair appointment booked for late morning, so decided to go into town and do some shopping before I went to the hairdressers. I haven't seen the south bay for a while so cut through by the Grand Hotel to see the view. The sun was glistening on the sea, but it was difficult to get a decent photo as I was facing the sun, so tried to shade myself by a building.
I also took a picture of the castle from the south bay side.
I had a list a bought Christmas cards and wrapping paper, and spray starch! Not going on an ironing frenzy, I hope to crochet a snowflake or two and you use spray starch to make them stiff. I then made my way to the hairdressers and am pleased with the result as usual. Had a great chat with Joanne as well. When I got home Tina felt like a walk was a good idea so we found the nuts and went off to the glen. We fed quite a lot of very appreciative squirrels, it is cold now and they seemed ultra hungry! We wandered up a hill that I hadn't walked up before, it was pretty steep but we managed quite well!
Another view on the way down.
After out wander through the glen I went off to the hut for an hour or so. The sky was looking good over the fairly deserted beach. There were some dog walkers but managed to miss them on this one I think.
Then finally a view of the castle from the north bay!
Didn't manage to get that one without a dog walker!
Like the first picture of the sea through the trees, nice silhouette effect. The one of the dog walker free beach is a really nice picture too.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get some peanuts for the squirrels. I only see the odd one in my garden, so it'll be nice to feed a few there.
We did see quite a few today, and not many pigeons either.
