This morning I decided to plant up the pots that I had bought when out with Tina on Friday. Darren and I picked up compost and some plants yesterday and I have had some bulbs to plant for some time. I only managed to get two pots done as I now need more compost so hopefully Tina will be able to take me to the garden centre again in the week.
They are resin pots made to look like half barrels. Decided on the lighter option so that they will be easier to lift when we move on. Yesterday when I was out with Darren I got a garden rubbish collector on wheels that will make it easier for me to get pruning from the back out to the bin in the front garden. I chose the pink one as I know Tina will just love it!
I went into town after the gardening to buy some material and when I got home Darren and I went out and had dinner at the Teasmaid cafe. I had my stuff gathered in a bag and I went straight down to the beach hut for a bit after we had eaten. It was a beautiful, sunny and really quite warm day, the donkeys were even out on the beach, not at all November like! As I walked along someone had made this great octopus in the sand, it was really big and eye catching.
I left my shoes and all my gear except the new camera in the beach hut and walked along in the edge of the water for quite a while. The sea was at it's stillest and it made for great reflections and pictures.
I hadn't realised I had caught the buoy in this one, it looks really odd!
I managed to get a much clearer shot of the heron with this camera.
And the heron with a seagull!
Just a shot of the castle to show how still the sea was today, it is often so rough and foamy.
Strictly results show tonight, I wonder who will have had their last dance!!
Like the octopus.
ReplyDeleteSome good pics with the new camera. Very sharp and clear. A beautiful day for it too!
The octopus really caught my eye as I walked by, very imaginative. It was a great day to take pics!
