There was heavy rain in the night and it continued for a while this morning. I stayed in and started cutting out a cover for a pool table that Mike asked me to make. Sounds straightforward, and it is really it is just cutting such large pieces accurately. I am ready to get on with it, maybe tomorrow. But later today the bulbs arrived so if it is dry tomorrow I will be planting up the remaining pots.Yesterday the small folding table I had ordered arrived and it is now in the beach hut. I took it down this morning. It means I have somewhere to put a drink or snack and if I decide to do some art work down there it will be very useful.
It was still a dull morning when I arrived with rain in the air, but I stood the table outside and used the pod to steady the camera for a shot of the castle.
This couple were shrieking with delight as they stood in the cold November sea!

I sat and read in the hut for a bit, reading a Lee Child book which I am enjoying, the last Liane Moriarty one hasn't arrived yet. It brightened up and I look up to see a bit of a rainbow over the sea, just as well I had the camera at hand!
I took one more picture of the bay, what a difference the sun coming out makes.
This afternoon I went to catch the bus to Halfords with the idea of checking out electric bikes, but they don't keep them there and have no information about them either. I can reserve one on line to go to the shop with no obligation to buy it. I stopped in town on the way back, picked up some jiffy bags and a bus timetable for my few days at the caravan next week. Have enjoyed Strictly as usual, a great show this year.

  1. Hope the table cover doesn't give you too much grief when you start sewing it up, sorry :-(

The photo of the castle is pretty good for the distance you are away from it. Was that on full zoom? And are you sure the couple were shrieking with delight, and not frostbite?

    1. No, not full zoom, so pretty good definition I think. I think it was delight, sounded like fun!

  2. From what I've seen so far, it's a really nice little camera. I just hope I don't think it's that nice when I "test" it, or you may be taking me to an appropriate shop :-)

    1. You will definitely be tempted when you have had your test run! Let's hope it is still on offer!
