Iffy leg and iffy garden helper!

My leg has been a bit of a pin today, I tried not wearing the support for a while but it definitely felt unstable then , so have got it on again now. The cats looked like harmony personified this morning, proving that the camera can lie!
The guy that mows the lawn came today and brought along a mate. I didn’t take much notice of what they were doing as I was baking some scones, when I did look out I noticed his mate was using a spade new some steps at the far side of the garden. I went and looke when they were gone and was not amused by the ‘clearance’ of the path. Needless to say, neither of them are gardeners.
I went up to Freeport on the bus, got a few bits in Pound Stretcher and had a drink before catching the bus back. These tulips were very sunny as was the day.
When I got back I took the sharp sand I had down the garden in the wheelbarrow. Only had enough for two of the pavers as they are very large gaps!
I have been to see Sarah and David this evening, they got back from a month in South Africa on Friday.

  1. The cats do look like butter wouldn’t melt, such great friends….NOT!
I have never seen anyone make such a mess as that so called gardener had with those slabs! I just don’t understand why they even considered trimming back the edges like that! A complete pair of idiots, and that’s actually being unfair on idiots as they probably have more common sense than that pair of clowns have put together. I really hope he reads this blog, assuming he can actually read that is, I very much doubt it! He needs to get his backside around there pronto and fill those gaps, or should I say cavernous trenches, with sand so no one trips or looses a foot down the holes! Also to stop the rain washing the soil out from underneath and making them looser and even more unstable than they already are.
Glad you got a trip out to Freeport even though the leg is really bad at the minute. No more humping sand around and filling holes for you! Let the idiots who made the mess sort it out!

  2. Just changed the heading, I wish auto correct wouldn’t decide what I mean to say! Certainly don’t know what to expect when the lawn gets mowed round here!
I got some bits I needed in my short trip out, I wonder if I will be walking to Freeport any time soon or not so soon!🤷🏼‍♀️
It was nice to pretend the cats liked each other briefly!
