Gardening, packing and visit

So far the dustbin solution is working and the bird food has been untouched. I reorganised it yesterday so that I have some of all the different food in just one dustbin, so will only have to open the others when it needs stocking up. It has been quite chilly on and off today, reasonable when the sun was out but really quite cold when it disappeared. I spent a good bit of the morning in the garden trimming bed edges and some hoeing and weeding. I sat on the swing while having a cuppa and was joined by my shadow!
After lunch I got the washing up to date, sadly not drying outside weather today, and begun getting the case packed ready for the trip to Peterborough on Wednesday. I did start the day not wearing the knee support but soon discovered that was not a good idea.
I went down the road to see if the cash point was up and running, successes today. Took a pick of the corner bed in the front that was filled with dogwood when we moved in.
Nice to see even more tulips on that bed, I cannot believe how many there are now.
Have been to see Sarah and David this evening so just relaxing now until bedtime.

  1. Glad the dustbin idea is working. The squirrels will probably turn up with a hacksaw now! Good idea put a bit of everything in one bin so you don’t have to open the all each day.
It’s been reasonably warm here today, but it’s turned quite chilly this evening. Roll on summer!
Sounds like the knee support will have to be a daily thing for now at least. If it helps even a little it’s worth it.
The corner bed does look a bit different from when you moved in. Well in fact the whole garden does! The tulips look really good.

  2. I do my best to think of solutions to problems, some work some don’t!
The front garden is quite weedy but as things establish and grow it doesn’t notice quite so much.
Yes, looking like the knee support is going to be a needed friend for a while!
