The two cards I made had a piece of machine embroidery in the middle, I used the stabliser and it worked fine.
Then I decided to do a slightly bigger piece, didn’t draw it first, time to to completely freestyle! I did frame it but that was a bit of a challenge keeping the material flat.
It was difficult to take a photo without any reflections!
Have been to see Sarah and David this evening and went to the shop to get brandy on the way home. Cake feeding day tomorrow.
Not a lot to report is a good thing as it means you haven’t done so much today. It’s been way too hot anyway, so good you’ve had an easier day.
ReplyDeleteThe shops your way are very trusting. Can’t imagine many here would let you take the trousers home to try them before you pay! But they probably know your the maid at the vicarage, so I suppose that helps 😊
The twins cards look nice. They’ll appreciate the effort that’s gone into them.
I think the framed flower looks brilliant. Not bad at all for a freestyle one. You do make these things look easy!
You’ll definitely be getting a bad name buying brandy late in the evening 😊
I struggled a bit with the bobbin as it is a side position and I need to use my left hand. The foot has to be removed to get the embroidery frame in place. Managed to break a needle too, but I enjoyed it and need to get practicing more regularly.
ReplyDeleteI did put the brandy into a bag, seemed like a bad idea to carry it in full view!
Brandy in a bag is even worse, that’s what the alchys do! 😂
