Short entry, jigsaw to battle with!

This morning I went to visit Bel, she seems well and has sorted out a couple of fabulous pictures to enter in the horticultural show. After that I went to the shop to get more baking ingredients. After lunch I made a chocolate sponge to enter in the show, turned out pretty well, I even lined the case rather that use the ready made ones so that it didn’t have wrinkled edges!
Then I made another couple of courgette loaves and still have a lot of them to use!
The veggie box arrived today and very good as usual.
This evening I went to man the hall to let people come in and drop off their exhibits for the show. It was quite chilly. Tina called me out as there were hundreds of starlings on the church tower!
I took one photo in the  hall, may take some more tomorrow.

Back to the jigsaw now!!

  1. Sounds like they’ll have quite a few entries for the show. Hopefully plenty of people will turn out to have a look. The cake looks really nice. You should sell it off per slice after the judging has taken place, although I’m sure Darren wouldn’t be too pleased with that idea 😊Good job you like the courgette loaves. After seeing the size of the courgettes you had in that true the other day, you’ll be eating them for ages! Good job you don’t get them in the veg box too.
I spy a couple of “Jan bits” in that last pic 😊
You’ll be so pleased to get that jigsaw finished!
