Bit weary today

I slept in this morning, after eight when I got up which is late for me. Wasn’t feeling over lively so went and did the lunch shop, the Co-op was closed which was unusual so shopped a Heron today. Apparently the shutter was stuck so they opened up later in the day when it was fixed. I was sitting here with a coffee and a cat on my lap when Tina asked if I wanted to walk along to the United Reform Church as they were selling off fair trade stuff at half price. I did join her and bought a couple of bits, I like the little change purse and it is bright enough for me to maybe not ‘lose’ it quite so often!

When we came back I made a cuppa and sat back in my rocking chair complete with cat again. We were there for getting on for a couple of hours and I took my glasses off and dozed in and out while she slept! I rarely sleep in the day, but it was very pleasant.
After lunch I worked on the new jigsaw that arrived after a long wait yesterday. The pieces are reasonably small and the top so awkward as it is shaped, but not as challenging as the box of chocolates!
We watched the F1 sprint race, I was pleased that Bottas was first, but he has a penalty and will start at the back of the grid.
After dinner I did get out in the garden for a while. I took the before picture yesterday!

A couple of pics of the church in the evening light, not particularly exciting ones I am afraid!

My tomato plants have been sadly neglected this year and I have probably had more that usual off them. Quite a few still that will hopefully ripen.
Going to watch the women’s final at the US open, come on Emma!!

  1. A lay in every now and again will do you good. You obviously need the sleep or it wouldn’t happen. Snoozing during the day is very unlike you too, but I’m pleased you enjoyed it. It could become a habit. I bet Pandora was more than happy not to disturb you. She could get used to it too.
The new puzzle doesn’t look as bad as the old one, but I still say you’ve got a lot more patience than me!
Your little stint in the garden made quite a difference, it looks way tidier now than in the before picture. I like your little wire barrow. I bet that’s very handy around the garden.
Is that batch of tomatoes in the photo ready for another pot of soup?
Fingers crossed for Emma. Enjoy the match.

    1. Don't want too many days like, you'd think I was getting old!
Will try to work on the paved area tomorrow.
      No more soup just yet.
