Bit livelier today

Yesterday I had tried to make an appointment to see a doctor but was told they could book an appointment for next week or I could phone at 8.30 in the morning to get an appointment. After 73 dials this morning I got to the stage of being on hold in a queue! But a pleasant receptionist and I got an appointment for 9.30 am. So got ready to go out and take a gentle stroll to the surgery. Saw a very nice young lady doctor who had not long finished training. She listened to my concerns and asked questions and then examined my legs checking nerves, muscles and joints. She could not find any reason for the pain I am getting but assured me that there were no signs of any nasty underlying problem. So good news in some ways and not so good that I have to live with it in another way. After that I walked up to the sea and had a drink. I took this photo because the top of the wall was glistening, and it has caught it slightly.
Took a couple more because I was there, a very lovely and calm day.

When I go home I had a cup of tea in the walled garden and there were some ladybirds with a lot of spots. I haven’t seen many ladybirds this year.
Lesley was coming round today to do a bit of path weeding with me so thought I had better clear the area near the gate she would come through for us to have a cuppa in the summer house when we were finished.

A ladybird with less spots, although you cannot see them, landed on my arm. I add this photo because I took in with the phone, holding it and pressing to take the photo with one hand!
We worked for and hour and then had a good chat in the summer house, with a very disgruntled Pandora outside as I had shut the door. Lesley is very uneasy around cats.
This evening Tina told me there was a nice red sky, not that you can see a lot from the garden.

Watching Holby tonight but no other plans.

  1. I’m amazed you actually got to see a doctor. They are like hen’s teeth these days, very few and far between! She did sound nice though and obviously did a thorough job. Sounds daft to say but it’s a shame she couldn’t find anything wrong. At least you’d have known why you get so much pain, whereas now you’ll just be expecting it every morning ☹️ But I know you’ll still carry on as normal and not let it slow you down more than needs be. Good idea going to see the sea as it’s very cheering and the ozone is supposed to lift your mood. Some nice pics. I really like the second one.
I’ve not seen any ladybirds for ages. I think the southern ones are hiding in the same place as the butterflies!
At least you got a little bit of gardening done, and a little bit is all you should do each time. It is a bit easier when you have someone helping, only if it’s just so you can chat while working. Makes the task a bit easier. Sounds like you put Pandora’s nose right out of joint barring her from the summerhouse 😊 She’ll get her own back tonight by not letting you get up once she’s on your lap.
I think the sky shots at the end a really nice. Lovely colours and the trees set it all off.
    Enjoy your evening.

  2. Yes, I was pleased to actually see a doctor and feel I was listened to.
It was good to get a bit done in the garden, may spur me on to get cracking again! Pandora is out at the moment, may have gone off me.....
