Star struck and September seaside

What a great show last night. The meet and greet was fine, they were lovely and chatted to us before one of the staff took the photo. I took a photo of the stage while we were waiting.

Tina took these, me with the stage behind is dark, I tried to lighten it a bit and you can see it is me. The other one was a funky pattern made by the lights.

We were given signed programmes and our VIP lanyards are great.
Tina insisted I had a tee shirt so have worn it today!
The show was brilliant, it stated with Matt. Sue and Phil standing at the front of the stage and just chatting to us really and telling up about lockdown experiences etc. Then the guests came on and the show started. The audience were divided into two so that Matt and Phil had teams, and in some of the questions they were asking for ideas from their ‘team’. There was an interval and when they came back they showed favourite clips of favourite moments over the years, some were very funny. Then a couple more rounds of the quiz. A real fun night.
Forgot that I took one unusual photo when we were having our sandwich in the car before the show and the second on the way back to the venue.

Today my legs were very painful but they settle down after a while and I did go and help Sal and Carol for and hour. This afternoon I took a leisurely walk to the seafront, quite busy down there today.

I walked back and detoured into the park.

After dinner I raked some grass off the lawn as it has been cut today. I planted some late gladioli and one has opened and is so pretty.
Watching the Strictly launch show now!

  1. What a great night out for you both. Really good to see the old crew of the show as I don’t think the new line up will be as good. You got some lovely mementoes of the night too. Like the tee shirt, very “with it”.
I like your two unusual pics, specially the second one, very nice sky.
Sounds like you’ve still kept reasonably busy and active even with the bad legs.
The beach looks reasonably well used today, and not a dog walker in sight for a change!
The pic in the park looking down the avenue of trees is a nice one. Very different to the beach in that it’s deserted. Very peaceful though I bet.
    Enjoy Strictly.

  2. It was a fabulous evening, so pleased Tina arranged it.
It has been a pretty good day and the legs aren't quite so bad at the moment.
